My goal for this week is to finish unpacking our house. I want to be complete on that by the end of this week. One of the first things I have to figure out when we move is where and when to do my grocery shopping.
Since we are so close to Ft. Jackson, I plan to do the majority of my grocery shopping at the Commissary, but deciding on a day that will work best is proving to be a challenge.
I am planning an All-American 4th of July cook-out for our family. I’m even going to try making an apple pie for the first time. Wish me luck!!!
Sunday – Pizza
Monday – Pork Chops, Scalloped Potatoes, Applesauce, steamed carrots
Tuesday – Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans

Check out the slab apple pie recipe from Life As Mom. I like that recipe better than regular apple pie and its so easy. Although I admit to using store bought pie crust.
