It’s Thanksgiving week and there’s food on everyone’s brain in anticipation of the big day of celebration, but it’s not the only meal we’ll partake in this week. I can get so focused on the one big meal that I forget about all of the rest. Not so with a little bit of prior planning.
The weather has turned cold here in Kansas, so we’re having lots of comforting casseroles and slow cooker meals. I love cooking (and eating) the delicious foods that make an appearance on my meal plan at this time of the year.
Sunday – Grilled Chicken Salad
Monday – Skinny Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie
Tuesday – Texas Ranch Chicken Casserole
Wednesday – Slow Cooker Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches; Baked Fries
Thursday – Thanksgiving Dinner with neighborhood friends (my contribution will be cornbread dressing, macaroni & cheese, and pecan pie)
Friday – Taco Salad
I’m looking forward to our Thanksgiving dinner with neighborhood friends on Thursday. Being away from family at this time of the year can be especially hard. I am so thankful for friends and neighbors to celebrate special days with. I’m especially thankful for the neighbors we have here!
What’s on your meal plan for this week?
