I feel like I’m behind in so many things right now, Project Life being one of them.
I’m several weeks behind in my scrapbook layouts.
But more than that I’m a bit frustrated that I didn’t have pictures for several days this week. No, this isn’t about checking a box, but it is about capturing memories and being more mindful of that. It is so easy to let the rush and busyness of life get so out of hand.
I don’t want to do that.
I want to stop and enjoy the small moments of our life, taking time to capture them is a part of that for me.
We had to replace the regular lens on our camera with a telephoto lens because that’s all the store had available. I’m finding it a bit hard to take pictures with this new lens, and that isn’t helping.
But, I am encouraged that I have been doing this for twenty-two weeks.
That is a huge accomplishment, y’all!!!
So…let’s take a look at our week 22…
Sunday – no pictures
Monday – Jenny loves fruit…apples are one of her favorites! It was such a hot day on Monday that my husband set up the sprinkler for Will. He had a blast running through the water. It didn’t take long for all three of his sisters to join in on the fun, either!
Tuesday – I was treated to a performance by my cowboy, a princess, and a rock star in my living room Tuesday morning.
Wednesday – no pictures
Thursday – As she gets closer to walking Jenny is scooting everything that will move around the floor downstairs. I took some time to do Will’s first reading lesson out of The Ordinary Parent’s Guide to Teaching Reading. This was such a special time for the two of us. He was excited to color a picture of the letter A and practiced the first verse of the vowel poem all afternoon.
Friday – Our homeschool curriculum for next school year has started arriving. I love looking through the new books, planning, and dreaming about the year to come.
Saturday – Jenny has discovered her sister’s old rocking chair and absolutely loves rocking in it!
Thanks for letting me share a piece of our lives with you each week!
