Because our lights were out after Irene, I wasn’t able to post pictures last week, so I’m posting weeks 34 and 35 today.
Week 34
Monday – My husband traveled to Baltimore for work and stopped at his favorite hot dog restaurant.
Tuesday – After experiencing our first earthquake while at Chick-fil-a, we came home and played outside. My thinking was this was probably the safest place to be in case of after shocks.
Wednesday – I made ice cream waffles in honor of National Waffle Day! The kids loved these fun waffles topped with banana slices and sprinkles.
Thursday – We took the kids to our neighborhood playground after dinner. Will loves playing pirate on this playset!
Friday – Elizabeth Anne decided to read the paper along with her Daddy on Friday morning.
Saturday – Jenny is having fun playing in her kitchen before bed.
Week 35
Sunday – We put the kids to work Sunday afternoon picking up sticks in our yard from the storm.
Monday – Because we were without power from the storm, I decided to take the children to the park for the morning. This also gave me the opportunity to run by McDonald’s for some much needed coffee! Jenny has learned to go down the slide at the park.
Wednesday – For my birthday I opted to have free dessert at Chili’s instead of a cake. We did let the kids have snack cake at home, though.
Thursday – Jenny’s walking!!! She is so cute walking with her arms held out like Frankenstein and giggling away!
Friday – We went on our first field trip of the year to see mummies at the art museum after studying Ancient Egypt in history.
Saturday – We took the kids to the state park to ride bikes on Saturday morning. Jenny entertained herself by playing in the grass and crawling all over the place. She had such a good time that she was completely filthy and wore a hole in her jeans! Good thing she had on jeans, though, because her poor knees would have been super sore. Also on Saturday, I was able to meet my blogging friend Amy for lunch. I was so excited to have a chance to sit down and visit with her!!
