5 Minutes for Mom has started a new weekly meme to recognize and thank the commenters on our blogs.
If you’re new to blogging or just to blog reading, let me tell you that comments mean the world to bloggers….they mean the world to me! I put a lot of thought and time and sometimes heart and soul into the things I write about here. And to receive a comment of encouragement, agreement, support, etc. on something that I have written is something that I am truly thankful for.
DailyDwelling is such a tiny little blog, but I have several readers who are always so encouraging and suportive to me in their comments. I feel like I have gotten to know them through this blogging experience. They are all beautiful people…some have blogs of their own that I frequent often (daily) and some don’t. Some I know in “real lifeâ€, some I don’t. But I am thankful for every one of them.
Each week, I will be featuring one loyal commenter and specifically thanking them to their contribution to DailyDwelling.
This week, I would like to recognize Pat of Successful Teaching and The Life of Loonyhiker. I first met Pat through my favorite spot for digital scrapbooking, Digital Scrapbook Place where we both participated in the daily blog prompts. I soon began to notice that we have a lot in common.
Pat is from my home state, South Carolina. And she is a retired special education teacher. I taught special education before I became a mommy. Pat and I also share a love for digital scrapbooking!!! Her pages are incredible!
Here is a little that Pat wrote about herself on Successful Teaching.
I like to hike, read, crochet, teach, and do digital scrapbooking. I retired after 27 years of teaching in the classroom. Now I teach graduate courses as an adjunct instructor for Furman University. I was chosen 2006 Teacher of the Year for my school and a district Top 10 Finalist (out of 5000 teachers). I am Nationally Board Certified as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. I am on the National Board of Directors for the Council for Exceptional Children
On Successful Teaching, Pat blogs about strategies and tips for…SUCCESSFUL TEACHING. She believes that it is important for teachers to support one another and share ideas that work. At Pat’s other blog, The Life of Loonyhiker, she shares her thoughts and opinions about life in general. This is also where she uses the daily blog prompts from DSP to inspire her writing.
I hope you’ll find the time to visit Pat. Leave her some comment love! She is a wonderful lady!

Thank you so much for your wonderful words! I have had a pretty rough week trying to get a rental house ready to attract a new tenant so I have not been on my computer much. Due to sore muscles and an exhausted body, I have not had time to read all the blogs that I follow either. Imagine my surprise this evening, when I came to this post! You are so wonderful too and this made my day (especially since I was feeling so miserable)! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Pat’s last blog post..An Outrageous David and Goliath story!
