The only constant with every season is that it will change.
The harsh, bitter cold winter will always change to spring, fresh and green.
The fresh spring with it’s mild weather will always change to summer, hot and sticky.
The sweat inducing hot summer will always change to fall, bright with colors.
The bright-colored fall will give way to cold days of winter.
And that’s how it goes from one season to another, year after year.
Our life is much the same.
From one season to another, there will always be change.
The best way to survive each season is to accept it and live life to the fullest within its constraints, remembering to count its blessings, weather hard to find or blaringly obvious.
This season of motherhood is hard.
It was a pure struggle to find just these few precious five minutes to write this morning.
But one thing I know is true, is that this season will change.
My baby and my small children will grow and become more independent.
They won’t need me as much and I’ll wish they did.
This season has so many blessings, even though the days can be hard.
But one thing I know is true is that this season will change, and I will miss it terribly.
I already do.
5 Minute Friday is hosted by Gypsy Mama.
I’m joining in every Friday to take just five short, simple, uninterrupted minutes to write from the heart. These five minutes were hard to find, yes, but they were worth the effort.
It is refreshing to just be able to write from my heart, pouring out words as they come.

Oh but change is so hard sometimes! I too already miss it, this season that is changing into Summer, my children that are growing up. Great post.

What a powerful, truth-filled opening statement. I think I want to write that out and hang it on my wall as a reminder to cherish each moment. Thank you!

Beautifully written! How I wish Life had a ‘pause’ button sometimes. Thanks for the reminder to treasure each moment, even in the midst of change.
