I am terrible at keeping secrets.
As in really, really, really bad.
As in I feel the need to do my Christmas shopping the two weeks before Christmas just so I won’t break down and tell everyone what I got for them.
So, I can’t believe that I’ve kept this a secret for so long…
Tomorrow morning, I’m taking my two six-year old girls, who just happen to love Disney princesses, to see Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream!!
I bought the tickets a few months ago as soon as I heard it was coming to a nearby location.
Thankfully, I put the date on the calendar and didn’t give too much more thought to them after they were purchased.
This week has been the hardest because I did tell the girls last weekend that we would be doing something special this Saturday, but it was a secret.
I have been dying to tell them!!!
And tonight I almost did.
I was *this close* and EA stopped me.
They both want to know what their surprise is so badly and were begging me to tell them. And just as I was about to give in, EA put her finger over my lips and said, “Mommy, you’re not supposed to tell secrets!!”
After that close call…I HAD to tell someone, so I’m telling you!
Since my girls were babies and I read The Mission of Motherhood for the first time {yes, I’ve read it more than once} I have dreamed of doing special things for my children.
I’ve desired to do these special things for no other reason than to show them my love for them.
To let them know that they are special.
To minister to them.
Tomorrow I get to do that in a big way, and I cannot wait!!!

YAY! How fun!!!
I would love to someday surprise our kids with a trip to Disney World. The kind where you already have the bags packed and you say, “We’re getting in the car and going to Disney World RIGHT NOW!” Ever since I saw those commercials like that I’ve wanted to do it. But I suppose it doesn’t have to be Disney World. It could be Disney on Ice or ANYTHING. I should just make a point to do SOMETHING. Have fun this weekend!!!

I’m taking my 4 year old too. Not a surprise, she has been excited about it for months. We stayed up late and watched “tangled” last night to get ready for it.
