One of my scrapbooking goals for 2012 was to be on a creative team.
Last week I received a message from Winnie from Charlize Creations. She saw a layout I posted in my gallery at Digi Shop Talk using a kit of hers that was included in November’s Digi Files and asked me to apply to be a guest member of her creative team for the month of March!!
WooHoo!!
Being a guest creative team member is a wonderful way to start out and I am so excited to be creating for her.
Two things to note:
1. Always, always, always credit the designers when you post your layouts to a digi-scrap gallery. Always.
2. Some of you are probably wondering just exactly what a creative team is. A creative team is a group of digi-scrappers who create layouts for a certain designer to be used in promoting their kits. As a creative team member, these kits are usually made available for you for FREE!
I absolutely love every kit that Charlize Creations has created. They are all so unique and bright and the quality is suburb! They make scrapping with them easy and fun.
She just moved her shop to OScraps and everything is on sale for 20% off for the month of March!
I scrapped this layout using her newest kit, Spring Blossom. As soon as I saw the kit I knew exactly what picture I wanted to scrap with it.
I love this picture of my girls last spring. Those two are so close to one another they truly are best friends!
The quote that I used says, “Sisters are different flowers from the same garden.”
Quote Garden is my go-to place for finding the perfect quote for a layout or card.
That is so true, especially for these sisters!
They may be twins, but they are as different from one another as different can be!

That’s adorable! Question – how do you keep up with what kits you are using in which layout? I recently got back into digi scrapping and intend to post some layouts on my blog but I am unsure how to remember what I used in each layout or how to easily track it!

Good question, Coley! It actually took me a while to figure out a system that worked for me. What I do is I type the information (name of kit/template and designer name) into the file information while I’m working on it in PSE. I always make sure this is complete before I completely save a layout when it’s finished. This writes the information into the file metadata. You can see it when you pull up the file properties for the layout.
There are also some actions out there that will do this for you. I’ve tried several, but haven’t found one that I really like. They all had small things about them that bothered me.
Do write this into the file information, in PSE, just got to file>file info and put it into the description box. Sometimes I also copy my journaling into the keywords area as well.

Quote garden is my favorite place to go for quotes as well. 🙂
