Happy Mama gave me two awards this week and I am so incredibly honored. She stops by fairly often and always lifts my spirit with wonderful comments that leave me so encouraged. Thank you, Happy Mama!!
I have several friends…real live friends…that blog and I’m passing these awards along to them.
1. Keith – a.k.a. Chaplain Andrews. Is my husband if you didn’t already know that. He will always be at the top of my list of favorites. He is my very best friend and he has my heart. He is an Army Chaplain currently serving with the 1st Armored Division in Iraq. He recently began two weekly series on his blog that I think you will all enjoy. On Mondays he is writing about Military Marriages but the advice he gives there can definitely relate to marriages in all walks of life. And on Thursdays he is writing about ideas for care packages to soldiers in “Stuff Soldiers Like“. Check them out!
2. Mindy – just moved back to the states from Germany. Her husband works with mine and he writes on their blog, too. I know she’s busy settling back into things right now, but she has such a beautiful spirit and her family is adorable. I love them so much and I’m going to miss her more than I can even write right now!
3. Carol – is such a fun friend! For the first time since my college days, I have a friend that I talk to on a daily basis….most days more than once. We’re even going antique shopping tomorrow and I CAN’T WAIT! She lives in the same building as we do. We’ve started doing digital scrapbooking together and recently started Beth Moore’s Bible study, Believing God together as well.
4. Ann – also lives here in Germany with us. Her husband is in the same company as mine, so we’re in the same FRG group. (since the last letter in FRG stands for group, I just wrote group group and that really bugs me) She is an incredible mom of two small boys and I admire her patience and consistency with them so much!
5. Stephanie – lives in France. We’ve been friends since EA and MC were babies and we lived in the same town in South Carolina. She also has twin girls and understood what it meant to have premature twin babies. She helped me during Keith’s first deployment by giving me a listening ear on so many occasions and a chance to have adult conversation–if only by phone–at least once a week. Now, she’s doing it again even though we’re both living over-seas in neighboring countries. She just returned from spending a month visiting family and friends in the states.
6. Stacy – is a friend from High School. We recently have gotten to know one another again through a mutual friend and our blogs. I regret not keeping in touch with her better through the years. She’s a lawyer now and has two small boys. She is also an avid runner and motivates me to start my days bright and early.
7. Erin – is a friend from college. We lived in the same residence hall our freshman year at Converse. I got so busy with being busy working and being involved with church that I didn’t make time for a lot of really sweet people. I wish I had known her better then. We’ve recently gotten to know each other and I just adore her sweet spirit. She is a stay at home mom to two sweet boys.

Aww, thanks :). I have really enjoyed getting to know you and becoming such good friends with you. I am soooo thankful to have you as a friend. It is so awesome to have a friend that truly understands what I am going through because SHE is going through the same thing too. Thanks for being there and thanks for a fun day today :). I look forward to many more fun times together!!!
