I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend!!
We sure did!
We ate at the DFAC on post (dining facility) for our Thanksgiving dinner. My husband served up lunch for soldiers and we joined him for a delicious meal.
I brought some printable Thanksgiving coloring sheets I found on Pinterest to keep the kids occupied while we waited on Keith.
I just had to take some pictures of the amazing display of Gingerbread houses. The culinary soldiers made these for a competition.
Here’s Keith serving up food for soldiers and families visiting the DFAC for their Thanksgiving meal. This tradition of leaders coming in to serve is an excellent example of servant leadership.
We were all ready to dig into our food by the time Keith was finished. Jenny especially enjoyed the pumpkin pie!
We headed out for a family photo-shoot after our dinner. Believe me, I was praying for no major spills during our meal!
One of the photos from this shoot will be on our Christmas cards, but here are a couple of out takes.
On Friday we put up our Christmas tree and decorated the house for Christmas.
The kids were SO excited for this!!
Will and Jenny waited on the stairs while Keith and I got the tree up.
As per tradition, Jenny had the honor of putting the star on top of the tree.
Then we were able to get a picture of all of the kids and Cupcake in front of our decorated Christmas tree.
Did you decorate for Christmas this weekend?
