We had a glorious weekend!! My husband came home on Friday afternoon from classes and worked on a test. After having that finished, he was FREE for the rest of the weekend. He hasn’t had a weekend free from the stress of schoolwork and looming deadlines for months, so this was a great treat!
We watched a new show on Amazon on Friday night after he was finished with his test called The Man in the High Castle. It was a really interesting show and I am looking forward to watching more episodes with Keith. We haven’t been free to sit and watch a television show together in so long!
Saturday ended up being a full day for me. I got groceries on Saturday morning, went to a Redemption Story Feast in the afternoon and babysat for some neighbors on Saturday night. I didn’t get any pictures from the Redemption Story Feast, but I do hope to write about it later this week. It was such a beautiful time with new friends sharing the story that God is writing in their lives and hearts.
Sunday was a great day of church, enjoying a relaxing afternoon and going on a date while the kids were in AWANA. We even started some Christmas shopping!
Totally forgot to mention that I made waffles for the family on Saturday morning.
EA accompanied me to the commissary to get groceries for the week. She likes to check items off my grocery list.
Keith wants to learn to bake. He started off with baking sugar cookies from refrigerated cookie dough.
I’m so proud of him for trying something new!
They were delicious with tea!
Keith and EA played Yahtzee on Saturday afternoon.
I babysat so our neighbors could go out on a date night. Their kids were already in bed when I got there, so it was a super easy gig! I basically read my kindle while their dog snuggled up next to me. Best. Night. Ever!
On our way home from church…we had a great morning! Our church has been the best thing about Fort Leavenworth. It is such a blessing to be a part of Lenexa Baptist! We look forward to it every week.
We went out to eat at Chipotle Mexican Grill and did a little Christmas shopping at the mall while the kids were in AWANA.
I hope you had a great weekend!!
