I’ve been a busy bee getting laundry done, the house cleaned, shopping, and planning meals before Keith comes home tomorrow morning.
Here’s a list of things that still need to be done:
- About three loads of laundry (I may take some down to the basement)
- Clean kitchen
- Put three little ones to bed…one of whom needs a bath
- Hang Welcome Home banner
- Bake a chocolate chocolate cake
- Sleep
At least I am being more realistic with my preparations than I was for R & R during his last deployment. Then I went as far as to iron our bed sheets. After they were ironed, though I didn’t want to sleep in them so the girls and I spent the night with Keith’s parents!!
Hopefully he’ll be home in time to enjoy a breakfast of belgium waffles with blueberry surup and sausage with us. And I know he is more than excited about having fresh, cold milk to drink!

Sounds like a very realistic plan for getting ready for his arrival. I’m so glad it’s so soon!!!
