This week we started homeschool…
Yes, it was a challenge.
Yes, some days left me frazzled and harried.
Yes, I was am exhausted.
BUT, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
This time with my children is precious….too precious to give it up just to have time for myself.
We learned scripture, sang songs, read poems, started a chapter book (The Boxcar Children), wrote names, played with math manipulatives, and so much more.
This week EA and MC began their ballet and tap dance class.
Wednesdays will be a busy day for my little girls. After homeschool they have a short quiet time then it’s off to dance.
After dance we come home to change and have dinner.
Then it’s off to church for choir and AWANA.
It’s a busy day for their mommy too!
This week I received my Kindle and began a Bible Study at church.
I am so looking forward to being able to read again.
I’m looking forward to getting lost in a book.
I’m looking forward to quiet time of reading and thinking.
I have been desperately needing time of Bible fellowship and study.
I’m starting a study of the book of Jonah by Priscilla Shirer called “Life Interruptedâ€.
I need to be stretched.
I need to grow.
This week has been full.
Full of blessings and so much to be thankful for.
What has your week been full of?

Ohh. I’m so happy for you, the school, the Kindle. The picture of you teaching is just one of the best because it captures so much of what you want for MC & EA.

I loved reading the boxcar children!!
I am going to be going through your old posts when it comes time for my kids to start homeschool. It seems like you are doing an amazing job with your children!! I am sure it is extra difficult this year with an infant.
Your Bible study sounds like it is going to be a good one. I have done a study that part of it was by Priscilla Shirer and I have done some Beth Moore studies and they have all been great!

“Life Interrupted” seems to be a popular title. I’ve seen at least three different authors with books by that name.
I’m excited about all that’s going on with you. I’m so excited about your new kindle and your Bible study and the reality of a present opportunity to get lost in reading. It’s so great!!!
