I’ve known about the Christmas Tour of Homes hosted by Boomama for quite some time. I have debated on weather of not I would actually participate.
First because I feel like I’ve bombarded you with so many pictures of my tree already. I’m just so proud of myself for getting it up all by myself and making an active choice to enjoy this holiday season with my children. I’ve posted about putting the tree up, MC’s Cindy Loo Who ornament, and getting the presents wrapped. So, I wasn’t sure you wanted to be bored with more pictures of my Christmas tree.
And second because I am a terrible home decorator. It is one area that I am the most insecure about. Oh, I want to be better, but I’m just not there yet. I fight discontentment with my home and it’s “decorations” probably more than anything else.
But as I mature, I am learning to be content with who I am and to be open and honest with others. So, I am going to open my home up to you yet again.
The tree with lights and presents:
I bought a new topper for it this year. It’s a rustic red tin star topper that perfectly matches the curtains and my tin star hanging on the wall.
Keith’s Ornament:
My husband is a huge comic book fan. I got him this Superman ornament a couple of years ago. The girls were so excited to hang “Daddy’s Superman” on the tree!
The Stockings:
I think this stocking hanger sign is my favorite purchase of the year! I got it from Wireglass Primatives on Etsy along with some other seasonal signs. It matches the stockings perfectly and just looks to good hanging on the wall. Keith’s mom bought all the stockings for EA, MC and Will and I just LOVE them too!
The Word:
I took this picture one morning after my quiet time. I just love this image of God’s Word with the lights of the Christmas tree shining in the background.

Love the stocking hanger and the photo of God’s Word. So very precious.
We don’t have a mantle either, so I put up some cool star pegs that match Graeme’s room – they would match your house too! We ended up liking them so much that we left them up year-round 😉 http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?&id=555101502&s=48&hash=8ab359c3bfed4d6498b5b55fdc18cca9#/photo.php?pid=495439&id=555101502

Your home is beautiful! You have done so much to make an institutional box feel like home. Your personal touches are wonderful.
Thank you for sharing your pictures. I haven’t taken the first “decoration” picture this year. I need to do that. My favorite picture of yours is the Bible with the lights. Awesome!
