We had a fun adventure today shopping and antiquing in downtown Leavenworth.
The small town of Leavenworth had an annual sidewalk sale this weekend. I am pretty sure this is something that is done on an annual basis during the second weekend in July. This is so smart for this little town because by this point in the summer, most students have moved in and are starting to check out their new surroundings.
Anyway, we spontaneously decided to head downtown this morning to do some window shopping.
I came home with two treasures that I am so excited to share with you.
I found this adorable polish pottery honey pot from The Euro Pottery Shop. They had a ton of beautiful Polish Pottery pieces! I happened to see this shop as we were walking by and walked in with my two girls and then ended up staying for much longer than I expected to. I could have browsed around this store for hours!
I cannot wait to put some local honey in this pot. I actually brought some local honey from the farmer’s market earlier this morning, so I’m all set for that!
I found this old antique window on the third floor of Leavenworth Antique Mall and I am just so very excited about it!!
Oh, my word…y’all!!! This store was so full of fun, neat antiques, primitives, and collectibles!
I have been on the lookout for a window just like this. I have crafty plans for it and can’t wait to show you the finished product!
We ended out morning out by eating lunch at Homer’s Drive-in, a restaurant in town that has been around since the 30’s. They still operate a drive through with car hops.
This was such a fun day for us…a perfect Saturday in my book!
