My two girls publically proclaimed their faith in Christ yesterday by following Him in believer’s baptism.
EA and MC both accepted Christ over a year ago. They indicated to my husband and I that they were ready to be baptized before we moved from Virginia, but we decided to do it in SC so that our family could be there to see them and join us on their special day.
I could not have been any prouder of these two.
EA prayed to receive Christ during her first year of Vacation Bible School at Colonial Heights, our church in Virginia. She didn’t go forward, but quietly said a prayer. She later told me that she asked Jesus into her heart that day.
MC prayed to receive Christ as we were praying for her Uncle Darryl who had cancer. One day during homeschool as we were praying for him, she also prayed for Christ to forgive her of her sins and live within her heart. Even through her uncle has passed away from life on this earth, his legacy of faith lives on in her testimony. She will always connect her salvation story with praying for him.
I am so thankful for all those who have had a part in my girls coming to know Christ and grow in their faith. They have been influenced by wonderful teachers and staff at our church in Virginia and here in South Carolina.
If you spend your time working with children in your church…thank you. Thank you for what you give so that these little ones come to know Him and grow in their precious faith.
The girls were able to watch each other go through the waters of baptism. It is such a blessing that they were able to share this day together.
There is no greater joy for me than to see my little ones take this step in their faith.
It is my first calling and my mission to see them grow in their faith. As I wrote last week, this is a mission that I want to remain focused on.

I agree with Linda– the pink toed socks in the air made me giggle! I teared up reading their salvation stories. So precious.
