EA and MC are super excited about this upcoming Valentine’s Day.
They’ve been busy decorating the house and making gifts for everyone in our family.
On Sunday afternoon I was in the bedroom with Keith and Jenny when there was a knock on the door.
My girls walked in holding a “Valentine’s surprise” they had been busy making for me.
Berry Surprise!
They mixed together leftover strawberries from lunch, blackberries from the refrigerator, multigrain crisp chips (from lunch) and sour cream.
They thought the sour cream was whipped cream. And even opened a new container just for my special dessert.
They were so proud of themselves and the surprise that they made just for me!
I was a little speechless at first…
And then I thanked them for their wonderful gift of love.
EA and MC received lots of hugs and kisses from me before they went downstairs to clean the kitchen.
When I came downstairs I overheard them talking to one another…
MC to EA: “You’re a great helper!”
EA: “Mommy liked her surprise!”
MC: “Yes, she did. She is so proud of us.”
This sweet conversation between two sisters melted my mommy heart. They give and give and try so hard to please.
It is so encouraging to them to know that I value their gifts.
And I do.
Because they are made out of pure love.

Such a sweet story! Just out of curiosity…did you eat it?

I took one bite so they could see me…the rest of it mysteriously disappeared. 🙂 MC actually wanted me to save it in the refrigerator until Valentine’s Day. I told her that it wouldn’t survive until then.
