I neglected to post pictures of our Valentine’s Day celebration yesterday.
After a “big” day in our home filled with fun, I tend to get overwhelmed.
And that’s exactly what I was yesterday.
Overwhelmed, anxious, and stressed.
Yuck!
Spending a day enjoying my family should not leave me this way.
So, this morning, I’m putting my act back together and reminiscing the memories we created together celebrating our love for one another.
We started out the day with two kinds of doughnuts for breakfast…
red velvet with powdered sugar
and chocolate frosted with sprinkles.
The kids made cards for each other. The older girls wrote three things that they loved about each of their siblings on their cards. These notes were so sweet!
Before leaving for dance class, I cut hearts out of pepperoni…an entire package of pepperoni.
My husband took Will to pick out flowers for me. He chose red roses again this year!!
Hugs for my sweet boy!!
Dinner was pizza with heart shaped pepperoni…fun!!
And then the kids opened their highly anticipated presents.

Loved your idea of making heart-shaped pepperoni! SO cute! I shared your FB pic of it on my page…I’ll have to try that!

We got our 4 year old a bag of goodies and went to the Olive Garden for lunch. It was a great day. On the 15th my Princess and I went to Target and picked out some VDay clearance for crafts. I think that might have been more fun! 😉

Sounds like it all was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I had a sick husband and it overshadowed the day too much. Still, we did donuts too and the heart shaped pizza 🙂
