Last night we celebrated Christmas as it was the first night of learning Christmas music in my little ones’ Children’s Choir.
I received an e-mail earlier this week for them to come dressed in Christmas wear. And since I was volunteering in my girls’ class, I thought I should join in the fun, too.
Of course, I didn’t actually do anything to prepare until yesterday and it was quite hectic getting everything ready on an already hectic day.
My husband did come home from work early yesterday afternoon, so I was able to make a quick run out to Michael’s to pick up some crafting supplies to pull everything together for us.
I found cute Christmas headbands with jingle bells and bows on them for the girls along with light-up necklaces.
For Will I found an adorable glittered foam reindeer headband and a light up Rudolph nose. He was adorable in that blinking nose!
For myself I picked up a red t-shirt and cotton iron-on transfer sheets. I went into my digital scrapbooking stash and did a quick search of my Christmas kits to find a Christmas tree and “Merry Christmas” word strip.
I put together my Christmas t-shirt in the middle of fixing dinner, giving the girls showers, and getting everyone ready to head out the door.
Jenny is always so upset when we leave her at home with Daddy on Wednesday nights. She loves her time alone with Daddy but hates, hates, hates being left behind. She started to figure out what we were up to as we were taking pictures and had to be in them with us.
She then moved out of it to grab a bag and book to she thought she would take to church. And we snapped a quick picture without her.
As you can see she was not a happy camper about that.
Not at all.
But we had a blast celebrating Christmas in choir. It was a great way to build up anticipation for our upcoming Christmas program and the songs they’ll be singing in it.
This little boy was super adorable in his light up Rudolph nose!

Very cute! It is hard to believe all the Christmas stuff is already out at Michaels. Crazy how fast time flies by.
