We were all so happy to hear our doorbell ring on Tuesday morning and see that Daddy was finally home!
The girls and Will were totally speechless for a while but it didn’t take them long at all to warm up.
Our first day was filled with lots of hugs, kisses, excitement and questions. MC especially had lots of questions as she tried to figure all of this out. She asked questions like “Daddy are you going to sleep in our house?” and “Are you going to stay with us?”
By now, she has figured out that Daddy is here to stay for lots of days and he’ll go back to Iraq for a little while and will come back home to stay for a long time.

What precious pictures you’ve captured there!
I am sure you have been enjoying this time together. I thought of you this morning as I was getting ready for church, thinking how wonderful it must be for you to get to worship with him today. I am sure that is something you have missed greatly.
Enjoy this sweet time!

Whoo-Hoo! SO glad you are getting good family time and that the kids warmed up quickly! Will be praying for you each day!!! Thought about you tonight— we have 8 inches of snow (at least) here in Spartanburg!!! WILD. Spent the evening (once the kids were in bed) outside with a broom knocking it off the bradford pear and dogwood trees trying to keep from losing limbs. It’s a heavy wet snow— perfect for building snowmen— can’t wait to get in it with the kids tomorrow!!!
