We had a wonderful Christmas this year in spite of being sick. I’m learning to be thankful in everything, including a Christmas spent taking care of little ones fighting a terrible cold.
There really is so much to be thankful for!
We weren’t able to go to our post’s Christmas Eve service with my husband as we planned, so the EA, MC, Will and I waited up until he came home to enjoy some cookies and milk and of course, leave some out for Santa.
Will didn’t quite make it until he got home. He fell hard and fast asleep on the couch right before his Daddy came in.
EA and MC did enjoy having their cookies with us before bed.
This poor girl was sick all day, but she was quick to dip her chocolate chip cookie in her glass of milk!
Look! Santa left crumbs….he’s a messy eater!!
Watching Jenny enjoy her first Christmas was a highlight for me this year.
And enjoy it, she did!!!
I was surprised at how well this six month old did at unwrapping her presents.
She didn’t miss a beat…she knew exactly what to do!
Guess who’s into Buzz Lightyear???
EA had a blast unwrapping her gifts and then gave out after lunch. She asked to watch a movie on the couch and spent the rest of her day like this.
MC was thrilled with matching pajamas for her Bitty Baby. It put a sparkle in her eyes before bedtime.
I was totally shocked by this gift given to me by my husband. Totally. Shocked! I’ve been secretly wanting one, but it’s something I never would have actually asked for.
I’m enjoying the best cup of coffee from it right now!

Merry Christmas, Monica! So sorry your kiddos were sick, but it sure looks like you made the most of it. We thoroughly enjoyed Christmas with a baby in the house… again. 😉 There’s just something magical about babies and Christmas!

Whoa that’s a LOT of presents! So glad the kids could enjoy it despite their colds. My clan cleared the stomach virus that hit us like dominoes the week before Christmas just in time for Christmas Eve celebrations. I’m amazed at how much Jenny looks like all the rest of your children… especially Will. Amazing! Love the crooked smile pic best! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Monica!

Thanks, Maggie!! I’m glad to hear that you knocked the stomach virus out before Christmas.
I’m almost embarrassed at the amount of presents, but most of them were given by extended family. We are truly blessed!

We got one of those same Keurigs for Christmas, too! I only use it for the hot water for tea, but it’s great. 🙂 Glad you guys had such a good Christmas, despite the illnesses.
