This motherhood adventure I’m on, parenting, loving, and teaching these four blessings He has entrusted to me has taught me much.
As I have loved them, I have learned much about His love.
Because of them, I know more, understand more about his love for me.
As I delight in my children and my heart is full watching them delight in their world, I get a glimpse of the things that He delights in when he watches me, His child.
I take delight as my little ones find wonder in the world around them.
I take delight as these four of mine are content with the gifts I give to them.
I take delight as I see siblings love and care for one another.
I take delight as I see them turn to me in full trust that I will care for them.
I take delight as they pour love out to me, showering me with their words of praise.
I am their mommy.
They are my precious children who I love more than I knew I could love.
Is this the way it is with Him?
Does He delight when he sees me find wonder in this word of created by His hands?
Does He delight when I am content with the gifts He bestows upon me?
Does He delight as I love my neighbor, my fellow Christian and those that are without Him, as I love myself?
Does He delight as I fully trust in Him?
Does He delight as I pour out my love to Him in worship and in praise?
Yes, I think He does.
He delights in all of these just as I delight in them with my very own children.
This morning I am so thankful for this insight into my Lord and the ways He takes delight in us, His children.
This post is linked to 5 Minute Friday where I join with other writers for 5 minute of pure and unedited writing.
These five minutes of writing and the reading of others are always a blessing to my week.
The topic this week was Cherish.

So true, Monica. How we too easily forget that as our Father, He delights in us in many of the same ways we do in our own children. What a blessing it is to have the heart of the Father loving us, and rejoicing over us! Pure gift!! God bless you, sweet friend!
