I have some super exciting news to share with you today!!!
As you may know, The Lilypad is a digital scrapbook store where I have decided to put my energies as a scrapbooker. It’s the only store I shop at and I’ve become active in their online community.
During Digital Scrapbook Day weekend The Lilypad had a call for scrappers to apply to join their creative team, known as “Pollys” or “Pollywogs“. With much anticipation and quite a bit of nervousness, I decided to apply. This was not my first time applying to be on The Lilypad’s Creative Team. I have applied at least two other times (maybe three) and received rejection letters. But each time I came away from the process totally impressed with this store and the way it’s administration carries itself.
The entire application process was handled with the utmost respect and care for me as a scrapper and someone who is “putting herself out there” to apply. The rejection letter was written with care and wonderful constructive criticism of my scrapping and even encouragement to continue being a part of their community.
I received word earlier this week that I was accepted to be a POLLY and I am still wondering if it’s real!
This has been a huge creative and scrapbooking goal of mine for a long time and I’m completely honored to be a part of the team at The Lilypad.
My specific duties will be to serve on their blog team, creating 3-4 blog posts each month along with scrapping with their products and being a part of the community by commenting on gallery layouts and posting in the forums.
That is all going to keep me busy, but I will be continuing to post here. In fact, I’ll probably be posting a little more. I have decided instead of posting one “Scrapbook Saturday” post each week that I will be posting each layout as it’s created. Some days that may be all that I post and some days you may receive more than one post from me. I hope you’ll keep reading here and won’t be overwhelmed with too much posting.
I want to thank each of you that reads my posts here…thank you for your encouragement and support! I appreciate you so very much!!
