We had a special guest join us for homeschool this morning. EA’s well loved baby, Marco enjoyed her time learning with us.
All three of my little ones thought it was hilarious when I included Marco in our calendar songs. “There was a baby doll who came to school and Marco was her name-O…M-a-r-c-o…M-a-r-c-o…M-a-r-c-o…and Marco was her name-O”.

I love homeschooling and I really love that my children love homeschooling.
Will has taken to calling me “Mommy Teacher” during the hours of nine to twelve, which is when we’re usually doing school.
Lately, EA, MC and Will have been talking about what they want to be when they grow up.
EA wants to be a chef.
MC wants to be a dancer.
And Will wants to be a farmer.
Today MC asked me if I always wanted to be a mommy when I was a little girl.
I told her that I wanted to be a mommy and a teacher.
Then she asked, “So, you decided to be a mommy that teaches us.”
That’s exactly what I did!
I’ve mentioned to the girls before that I taught in a school before I had them. At lunch today they were curious about that.
MC asked me if I was a teacher in a school that kids go to when they were babies.
I explained that I taught school when they were in my tummy, but when they were born I didn’t work anymore. {not at a school, anyway}
She was concerned about my former students not having a teacher anymore, but her concerns were put to rest when I assured her that they were taken care of and they got another teacher when I had them.

There was one day this week that the girls and Will were busy having a birthday party for MC’s baby doll, Zoe. They had a feast set up at a table in Will’s room and decorations were set out, too. I gave them some extra time to celebrate the birthday before starting school that morning.

EA and MC were excited to finish learning to write all the lowercase letters earlier this week. After reviewing we’re ready to start on uppercase letters next week.

Hi! I have really enjoyed reading your homeschooling posts. I homeschool too. We use either our living room or the dining room as we have a large table. It is so much fun teaching them and seeing their excitement when they have succeeded at something that previously gave them problems.
