Happy Monday friends!!!
I’m thrilled to begin a new week and I hope that you are, too!
This is going to be a pretty busy week for us. I typically don’t enjoy busy weeks, but I’m learning to relax and go with it for a while. Things will settle down in time.
I have put several things in place to help take care of myself for the next year while Keith is away. I started out this time thinking that I could do it all myself and eventually became overwhelmed and overextended. After pulling back and re-evaluating, I recognized several areas that I needed help in and I’m getting it. It’s not easy to ask for help or to allow others to help me or even to pay others to come in and help in areas where I am weak, but the pay off for doing so is great.
I’m have a post in the works for three tools I am using to help meal planning and grocery shopping and I’m excited to share them with you soon.
In the meantime, here’s our meal plan for this week:
Sunday – Easy Crockpot Beef Fajitas; Tortilla chips
Monday – Quick and Easy Skillet Chicken Jambalaya; Garlic bread; Orange and Red Onion Salad
Tuesday – Apple BBQ Pork Chops; Green Beans; Baked Potatoes
Wednesday – leftovers or eat out
Thursday – All Day Beef Stew; French Bread; Salad
Friday – Cranberry, Pecan, Mandarin Orange and Spinach Salad
Saturday – Pizza
And here are my goals for this week…
Do
– maintain clean house (wipe down bathrooms and clean floors daily)
– begin Bible Study with neighbors
– go to bed on time
– meet daily fitbit step goal
– grade school work each day
Read
– She Reads Truth daily devotional
– Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Mbue
– To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
– Artful Blogging magazine (Fall Issue)
Learn
– Lens of Joy photography class (Ali Edwards)
– Brush Lettering class (Amy Tangerine)
Be
Consistent…in my words and my deeds and in my faith as well.
And now for a little Monday motivation!
How are you going to make today count?

Thanks for sharing your week! I use to be very organized with meal planning. Now I’m pretty scattered. I love the She Reads Truth devotional. And I’m having a hard time getting everything graded at night. Hopefully momentum will kick in soon. Have a great week.

Ugh…I just looked over at my tray and I haven’t graded work yet…and don’t know that it will get done. I’ll keep trying, though!
Have a great week, Barbie!
