Fun day at the Las Cruces Farmers Market! This has been one of our favorite family activities, but today was our first time visiting since moving back to El Paso last summer. Confession—I made everyone wait until my yoga teacher was away on vacation! 😂
Every year on Valentine’s Day my husband takes our son to the store to pick out a bouquet of flowers for me. It’s one of my favorite traditions!! ❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day, friends!!!
January 2024 reads // I read all of these plus two books on audio this month, for a total of 12 books read. I loved them all, but Stealing and Mercury were my faves this month. Now the challenge is to fit them on my bookshelf…wish me luck!
Books I read in December 2023 (almond with a couple audiobooks and one ARC read on my kindle). It was a great month of reading to finish off a fantastic year of reading! #bookstagram #readersofinstagram #decreads
Boys do make that process quite challenging 😉 I started Sam close to 3 and after much stress and a whole caboodle of incentives that didn’t work (or at least they didn’t work for very long), I pulled back and we tried again 3 or 4 months later. He wasn’t really fully trained until he was close to 3 1/2 which was more than 2 1/2 years later than the girls.

I did mean 1 1/2 years not 2 1/2 for my girls 😉 They were closer to two not one! Now that would be some craziness!

So cute. My daughter has her Barbie and pony go potty. I figure if it gets her to go potty too I’ll go with it.

My boy will be 4 in 12 days. We just got him trained 6 days ago. I finally just got tired of trying to teach him and told him that as soon as this round of diapers were gone – that was it. He had to wear underwear and use the potty. I set a timer for 15 minutes for the first 2 hours until he successfully used the toilet. Then I moved the time up by 15 minutes. He did have #2 accidents in his underwear, 3 different times. I then decided to take the underwear away and told him he’d get them back when he went #2 on the toilet. He got them back within 2 hours. The 2nd day we just had him in underwear and he was at 1 1/2 hours on the timer. The 3rd day was loose clothing and no timer. He’s been going strong ever since. Oh! And for bedtime, I bought the plastic underwear covers so that his bed stays dry.
