I’m so excited to begin a new year of Project Life!!
Last week I ordered all of my digital pages for 2011 and I just received word today that they have been shipped. That means that I will have them in my hands by the end of the week. I can’t wait to share them with you…I see a possible vlog coming up!
I’m off to a great start with 2012. I was actually able to get a picture for everyday last week and completed my cover page and week one’s layout.
Each week on my Project Life posts, I’ll give you a glimpse in pictures and journaling of what my week looked like and then show you my completed layouts. I’m under no illusions that I won’t fall behind at some point this year, but when I do and get caught up, I’ll share those pages with you.
Let’s get started with this week…
Sunday – We went to a New Year’s party at Keith’s commander’s home. There was a ton of delicious food, but, of course, the chocolate covered strawberries were the biggest hit, especially with Jenny.
Monday – Jenny followed that up on Monday by devouring her Christmas chocolate!
Tuesday – After having Daddy home more than usual during the holidays, Jenny was suffering from serious withdrawals. She was able to talk to him when he called during breakfast on Tuesday morning. She got so excited to hear his voice over the telephone that she was just beaming and smiling all over!
Wednesday – We resumed all of our normal activities last week. On Wednesday evenings we are busy with church activities. I got to Bible Fellowship team meetings and visitation while the kids are in choir and AWANA. Will loves going to cubbies!
Thursday – I love it when I am able to capture all four of my children together as they were on this day!
Friday – It was a beautiful day here. The weather was warm, so we really wanted to get the kids out to play. We took them to the state park after quiet time. It was the perfect time for them to run around and get some energy out. Keith took wonderful pictures of all of the kids and got this one of me and Jenny together.
Saturday – I finally pulled a tooth of Mary Catherine’s that has been loose forever! She decided that it was read to come out on Saturday afternoon and I did the honors for her.

You are off to a great start! Your pages look great. I am doing PL this year and I typically strive for a photo a day. I miss a few here or there, but I love taking a photo a day so I continue. This is my third year.
Monica says
I strive for a photo a day as well, but try not to stress if I miss a day. Three years…wow…what a treasure!

Hello! I clicked over from Jessica’s Project Life Tuesday! I just love your front cover page for 2012! I love that “Finding Joy in the Journey” card – is that with one of the kits?? I just finished my 2011 kit and am impatiently waiting for my new one to get here in the mail! Should be here any day now! I ordered Clementine. 🙂
Monica says
The “Finding Joy in the Journey” card came from another digital kit (This Life – January by Penny Springman).
I hope you get your new kit soon!! I’m using the Clementine digital edition.

First off, love the verse in your header. I have been focusing on it personally myself since the first of the year. Second, love your digital pages. I am doing Project Life digitally this year and am thoroughly enjoying seeing what others are doing. I’m going start following your blog so I don’t miss your updates each week.
Monica says
I love seeing how everyone puts their own spin on their pages, too. Thank you for following…I can’t wait to get to know you better through this!
Jenn says
Your family is beautiful! isn’t life with 4 kids fun?! I love your pages! I have never tried digital…you have insipired me! Have a great day!
Monica says
Yes, life is so much fun with 4 kids!! Fun and very, very busy!
Candy says
Beautiful photos as usual! Love that shot of Jenny with the chocolate!
Monica says
Thank you! I think Jenny has a chocolate addiction just like her Mommy 🙂

So fun to see someone else doing digital. I need to try out the scrap it actions – how did you like them? I have them from The Daily Digi but haven’t used them. Fun pictures – this is my first year doing this too.
Monica says
I liked the actions in that they were quick and very easy to use, but I’m not sure that I’m going to use them every time. I like to play around with my pages to get them to look “just right” and don’t always have a plan in place before I start. I found that I had to cancel and redo the actions too much and ended up getting the templates. I’m going to use those in next week’s pages and see if that works better for me.
Katie says
These pages are awesome! Now I want to do digital scrapbooking, too! lol

I’m loving your digital lay outs … I was trying to decide for a while but ended up with the paper version … and I’m really liking your title page, as mine is still in the works 😉

Really enjoyed seeing your digital layouts. I am doing paper but would like incorporate some digital elements too.
Great pics of the kids.

I love the picture of the four of your children together! Especially your littlest’s expression as she looks at her big brother. So sweet!!

I love your layout! I think the digital project life is so pretty! Thanks for sharing your pictures with us and your four children are beautiful. I have to say I am with Jenny I could devour a whole thing of chocolate covered strawberries in a blink of an eye they are my favorite!!
Amanda says
I love your pictures and layouts! I can’t wait to see how you did your 2011 album. I’m really interested in the digital pages, but they scare me a little right now.
Jacque says
Cute cover page, cute font choice for the journaling, very fun.
Mary says
I love the layouts. I do the paper version and it makes it a little harder to use the different styles of page protectors. Apparently I am going to be living vicariously through those of you doing the digi version. 🙂
Thank you for sharing them with us.

Hi, I found you via the link love on The Mom Creative. I absolutely love your pages. I have the clementine kit, but to catch up past years for my kids, thinking I am going to do digital and also add a few digital pages in my album for this year. Can’t wait to see your updates each week, as I read from the comfort of my lounge room in Australia 🙂

Monica — Your children are beautiful AND MC still looks just like my sister… a real beauty. Can’t believe how big Jenny’s gotten.
