Why is it that I feel like I’m playing catch up for a week after returning from a trip?
We had a fantastic time visiting Keith’s family for Thanksgiving last week, but I can’t seem to get my act together now that we’re back home. It probably doesn’t help that we all have colds.
Sunday – We decorated for Christmas and had a family Christmas party to celebrate on Sunday afternoon. We even used the self-timer on our camera for a family photo.
Monday – On Monday night I complained to my husband that I neglected to take a picture for Project Life. Being the helpful husband that he is, he pulled out the camera and snapped a picture of me cleaning the kitchen. If this was for any other project, I would have quickly nixed it, but this is Project Life and cleaning the kitchen is a huge part of my life!
Wednesday – Their Uncle Franklin bought bubbles for the children while we were visiting Grandma’s. Mary Catherine and Will had a blast playing with them in the backyard!
Thursday – We had so much to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day! It was a blessing to be able to spend it with family. Will was completely fascinated with the Macy’s Parade on television. He stood for most of it completely in awe of every float and performance. The cousins spent Thanksgiving Day preparing and practicing a play to be performed that evening. Will stole the show in his portrayal of a broken toy soldier.
Friday – Elizabeth Anne jumped up in the middle of watching the movie Prancer to declare that she had two loose teeth…her very first ones!! She wanted Grandma to pull them, but they weren’t quite ready before we left to come home on Saturday.
I don’t have scrapbook layouts ready for week 46 just yet. Maybe if I can ever catch up with this week, I’ll get a chance to work on it.
