I hate to leave the house a mess whenever we leave to go somewhere. For some reason, this is especially true when we are going to church on Sunday morning.
I really don’t need another thing to stress about while trying to get out the door for a 9:30 service. But I do love coming home from church to a clean house and feeling free to relax on my day of rest.
This morning we were able to get ready for chapel in record time, new dresses and all.
I spent most of the time deciding what I would wear. My bed, with clothes strewn all over it, was most definately an exception to the “clean house before church rule” this morning.
Anyway, I came up with the most clever plan for cleaning table crumbs this morning.
While I was cleaning up the kitchen, I handed EA, my little homemaker, the hand vaccum, gave her a quick lesson in how to use it and handed the task over to her.
And she loved it!!!!!
In fact all three of them did. MC had a turn too, but I didn’t get a picture of her.
Yes, I am a genius!!

What cuties! I LOVE to get my girls to help out around the house. Today, they were busy helping their Dad. At first I was upset, but then I realized that it didn’t matter if all of the girls’ clothes were mixed together. It was all folded, and all family members were happy. Does it ever amaze you that our little ones like to help out?

The Girl fell in love with out hand vac and being particularly inclined in all things technical she figured out how to use it. I discovered this one morning when I was woken by the sound of vacuuming. She had tried to fix herself cereal made a mess and was trying to clean it up.

My oldest boy loves playing with the dustbuster. I actually gave him one for Christmas when he was 2 years old.
I feel the same way about coming home to a clean house. It doesn’t happen nearly enough!

My kids love to do this and come to think about it they haven’t done it in a while because a fight would usually break out. We can’t get it away from the 2 year old until it runs out of power and needs to be recharged. I’ll have to try it tomorrow and see how they act.
Or maybe I should just get two more, for the other kids and let them all do the cleaning. 🙂
