Ever since Keith left for his deployment, it was obvious that Will missed having his Daddy around.
When Keith’s dad, my dad, or my brother-in-law came to visit, Will just clinged to them. It was apparent that he was longing for a male influence.
Will was only ten months old when Keith left for Iraq and now he is just three months away from his second birthday. It has been a long time since he’s seen his Daddy.
Many people asked if how I thought they would bond when Keith came home on leave.
I never questioned for a minute that there would be an instant bond and I was so right!
Will has had his Daddy around for piggy-back rides,
rough housing,
and playing legos.
He has followed Keith around the house.
He has watched and imitated his every move.
It is so much fun to watch the bond between father and son. I can’t wait to watch this bond grow as Will gets older and they are able to do even more together.
