Keith’s parents are visiting this weekend.
Their trip here has been planned for quite a while now. But I didn’t really start telling the girls that they were coming until last week. It is so hard to tell them things a long time in advance of the actual event because they have very little concept of time.
Right now, anything that occured in the past, happened yesterday to them.
And anything that is going to occur in the furute, is happening tomorrow to them.
When I first told EA last week that Grandma and Grandpa were coming her response was “And I am going to be EXCITED!!”
We’ve been counting down the days until then.
Yesterday I told them that their grandparents would be here “tomorrow” after they woke up and had breakfast.
When MC woke up this morning the first thing she asked was, “Is it tomorrow now?”
“Well, yes, tomorrow is now today and that meand that Grandma and Grandpa will be here soon,” I replied.
EA and MC spent a good portion of their morning looking out the window in Will’s room for Aunt Rachel’s van to pull into the parking lot to deliver Grandma and Grandpa to our house. Will joined them too, just because that’s what he does.
We had a good afternoon and evening with Grandma and Grandpa. Right now, all the kids are fast asleep from a busy and exciting day and their grandparents are at the guest house on post.
I probably won’t post much more this weekend. I’ll be too busy enjoying the extra sets of hands around here and maybe even getting a little rest.
Have a great weekend!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Are these the parents that live in Laurens? If so, tell them hi from Fountain Inn! I’m so glad your kids will get to see them and his parents will see how much they have grown up. Hope to see a scrapbook page of the visit!

Fantastic picture. Ah, excitement, too often the experience of the young and not enough of the old.
